1. What We Collect

• Blog inputs: the keywords, competitors, and context you give us so we can write for your audience.
• Generated content: the posts our AI creates for you.
• Performance data: page views, keyword rankings, and engagement metrics for your blog.
• Usage data: how you interact with the dashboard (clicks, settings, feature use).

2. How We Use It

• Generate and publish your blog posts.
• Run keyword and competitor research on your behalf.
• Bill you (Pro plan) and respond when you contact support.
• Improve the product — aggregated, anonymized signals only. Your specific content never trains AI for other customers.
• Email you product updates and account notifications. Marketing emails are opt-out.

3. What We Don't Do

• We don't sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
• We don't share your content with other customers.
• We don't use your specific posts to train AI for anyone else.

4. Third-Party Services

We use vetted vendors to run NEXTSEO. They only see the data they need to do their job:

• Stripe: payments.
• Firebase / Google Cloud: authentication, storage, and hosting.
• Vercel: our deployment platform.
• Anthropic + Perplexity: the AI models that draft content. They process content but don't retain it for training.
• PostHog + Google Analytics: product analytics so we can fix what's broken.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and measure how the product is used. We use PostHog and Google Analytics for product analytics. You can clear cookies in your browser; some features may not work without them.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. We restrict internal access on a need-to-know basis. We're not a bank — but we take the responsibility seriously.

7. Your Rights

• Access & export: download your content and account data anytime from your dashboard.
• Correction: update inaccurate info directly in your dashboard.
• Deletion: delete your account in settings, or email us. We'll remove personal data within 30 days (some records are kept for legal/financial compliance).
• Marketing opt-out: unsubscribe link is on every marketing email.

8. International Users

NEXTSEO is operated from the United States. If you're outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. We use standard contractual safeguards where required.

9. Data Retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. After you cancel, your blog content stays live on your subdomain for up to 90 days (for SEO health). After that, we delete it unless we're legally required to keep something (e.g., billing records).

10. Children

NEXTSEO is for businesses. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a minor signed up, email us and we'll delete it.

11. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll email you 30 days before they take effect. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
